SAIL Interview Questions and Answer Metallurgy

Steel Authority of India Limited :

• A Maharatna central public sector undertaking company with an annual turnover of INR 1,03,480 Crore for fiscal year 2021–22
• One of the largest steel producers in India with around 17.43 MT of Hot Metal and 16.15 MT of Crude Steel production.
• 5 Integrated Steel Plants - Bhilai Steel Plant, Durgapur Steel Plant, Rourkela Steel Plant, Bokaro Steel Plant, IISCO Steel Plant
• 3 Special Steel Plants and 1 Subsidiary - Salem Steel Plant Tamil Nadu, Alloy Steels Plant West Bengal, Visvesvaraya Iron & Steel Plant Karnataka, Chandrapur Ferro Alloy Plant Maharashtra
• 50 Products - 500 Grade - 5000 Dimensions
• Managment trainees (tech.) will be offered a scale pay of 50,000 pm for one year. And after sucessfull completion of training, trainees will be designated as Assistant manager and offered a pay scale 60,000 - 1,80,000

Interview Process

Interview shortlisting ratio :- 1 : 10-12

SAIL interview process consist of DV(Document Varification) GD(Group Discussion), GT(Group Task) and PI(Personal Interview). And weightage is divided as -
  GATE Marks - 75%
  GD and GT - 10%
  PI(Personal Interview) - 15%

First document varification will be done and after that group will be divied in two. First will go for GD & GT and other one for PI. GD and GT will take around 2 hrs and after that PI will be conducted. Avg time for PI is 15-20 mins.

GD Topic :Dowry system is sill prevelent in our society . what steps should we take to end this system. ?

GT 1 :An company profile was given with a list of leadership skills. And we had to arrange the leadership skills according to their importance.

GT 2 :List of OTT plateform were given with their price and content type (like sports, health, music, fashion etc..) and based on content type and price which OTT should we allow in our country.
