GATE 2023 | Metallurgical Engineering

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam is a computer-based standardized test conducted by IISc and IITs at the national level in India to examine the understanding of respective engineering and science. Qualifying in the GATE exam is a mandatory requirement for all engineering graduates who are seeking admissions with financial assistance to the Postgraduate Programs like Master's and Doctoral with the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and other Government Scholarships / Assistantships that are subject to the admission criteria’s of the institutes.

GATE exam results are also useful for getting a job in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). Some of the PSU Companies and research organizations that use the GATE exam results for providing jobs include BARC, DRDO, BIS, SAIL, Vizag for a metallurgy graduate.

GATE Eligibility Criteria
A candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program OR has already completed any government approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts is eligible for appearing in the GATE 2021 exam.
